ARResources sanctioning is available for both competitive and non-competitive races and events, as well as sanctioning of adventure racing clubs. Event Participants and Organizers are suggested to follow a minimum set of Event Safety Guidelines for Sanctioned Events.

Sanctioning provides a mechanism for the non-profit ARResources to collect money to fund its expanded efforts. The goal is to deliver back to race organizers the tools they need to make their event successful: encouraging an expansion of races, encouraging new organizers, and keeping race entry fees low.

The officers and board of ARResources remain volunteers, so the minimal funds collected go directly to the activities of the group, and all organizer members receive a complete accounting of what money is collected and how it is spent. Most importantly, ARResources sanctioned races will not have to endure the hassle or cost of collecting "license" or “membership” fees from racers.

To sanction an event or club with ARResources, email director@arresources.org to request the appropriate Event Sanctioning Contract, or download the contract from the links above. After reviewing, filling out and signing the contract, you will need to return it with the sanctioning fee to ARResources via regular mail 14 days prior to your event. After approval of your sanctioning request, your event will be assigned an ID number for you to identify your Sanctioned Event to the insurance company. Remember that ARResources Event Sanctioning is not insurance! You must obtain insurance directly from the insurance provider!
